On June 29th , 2017, the 8th Belt and Road Eco-Agriculture and Food Safety Forum was held during China Food Safety Publicity Week in Beijing. Zhang Baowen, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People' s Congress, Li Zhaoxing, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs, P.R.C., Guo Yezhou, Vice Minister of International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, Qian Kerning, Vice Vice Minister of Commerce, P.R.C., Li Yuanping, Deputy Director of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People' s Republic of China, Sun Xianze, Deputy Director of China Food and Drug Administration and other guests attended the Forum.
Forum focused on food safety and discussed how to contribute to food safety. As an important achievement, Memorandum of Cooperation between The Chinese People' s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, P.R.C. and Cooperation Agreement between China Entry&Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association and Belt and Road Agriculture and Food Trade Information Platform were signed.
